Our Expansion To India
 

In 2006, Bharat Luxindo expanded into India by leasing a production facility at Palakol Mandalam, W.G District, Andhra Pradesh, India.

 

-          Collaboration with Laila Feed ( which has a ready net work)

-          Indian market with total annual demand of +/- 150,000 mt

-          Proximity of farms to the plant (60% of farms are located about 2-3 hours from the plant)

-          Experience in the feed business.

-          Technology in feed production.

-          The feed market in Indonesia is more matured (monodon has been replaced by vannamei which is more resistant to disease).

-          Hatchery in India for vannamei broodstock (similar concept as that practiced in Indonesia)

Bharat Luxindo Agrifeeds is managed by experienced and skilful executives who are experts in their respective fields of marketing, sales, farm management practices, feed processing, aquaculture nutrition and quality assurance.  Backed up by the latest technology and innovations the company is supported by a highly dedicated team of well trained staff.  The importance of our human resources  which form the most important component of our group for future expansion and for service to our farmers.

 

 

Our History

 

Our group started with the coming together of various individuals who had specialized skills in marketing (domestic and export), operations, business development and nutrition in the aquaculture and feedmilling industry. Each of these individuals had at least fifteen years experience in their respective fields.

 

Since its inception, the GLOBAL GROUP has always met the challenges of as well as played a part in the development of the Indonesian feed industry. At this very moment, every one of the production facilities of the group is situated on land owned by the group.

 

The GLOBAL GROUP expanded further with the increase in production capacity and market diversification. In 2004, the GLOBAL GROUP set up a feed plant for the express purpose of producing extruded products. At this point in time, the Global Group as a whole operates 2 extruded feed plants, 2 shrimp feed plants and 2 poultry feeds plants. All our plants are currently running at 90% capacity.

 

In 2005, the GLOBAL GROUP went into vertical expansion by setting up 2 vannamei hatcheries. From the nauplii produced at these two sites, the GLOBAL GROUP started operational joint ventures with 20 medium-sized hatcheries for the production of F1 post larvae which are in demand by farms throughout Indonesia. By the end of the year, these targeted 20 operational JVs will cover North Sumatera up to East Jawa, including the islands of  Sulawesi, Kalimantan and East Indonesia.

 

With the 20 operational hatcheries, the GLOBAL GROUP will have the capability to produce 2.5 billion nauplii per month.

The GLOBAL GROUP has the vision of developing the feed industry in by producing feeds which meet all nutritional requirements by way of high quality control of ingredients and formulations. This together with the supply of F1 seed will help us achieve our mission of helping farmers maximize their production, improve their income and smoothen their farm operations.
